  • Wesley earns career rebounding...

    The Oldham County Colonels now hold the top two records in one category for another Colonels team.

    Crestwood native and 2012 OCHS graduate Tyler Wesley recently surpassed former Centre College standout and current Oldham County boys basketball coach Coy Zerhusen for the career rebounding record.

    Wesley is now Centre’s all-time leading rebounder with 870 career rebounds, while also holding the Colonels’ career blocked shots record with 245.

    The Oldham County High School dance team placed fourth at the KDCO State Championship on Feb. 20 at the Frankfort Convention Center. The East Oldham Middle School dance team won the championship in Jazz at the state competition on Feb. 21.

    BUCKNER — When Brandon Johnson began his senior year with the Oldham County boys basketball team, he knew his job as a role player off the bench would carry over into the start of the Colonels’ 2015-16 season.

    While Johnson was providing a spark off the bench, he was in search of a spark within himself.

    Once it ignited, he hasn’t slowed down.
