  • South Oldham girls' soccer...

    After back-to-back losses to open play in the 29th district, the South Oldham girls’ soccer team responded in a big way Wednesday night, knocking off rival North Oldham 2-1 to pick up their first district win. The last times the teams met, North Oldham rallied from a late deficit to force overtime on Aug. 19, eventually winning 3-2 on penalty kicks.

  • Local teams ranked in KVCA Top...

    In the KVCA volleyball poll released today, several local schools crack the top 25 with North Oldham leading the way at No. 12. The Lady Mustangs checked in at No. 9 in the first poll of the season but dropped three spots after a 9-6 start. Oldham County is the other local team in the top 25 at No. 23 with a 8-4 record, including 1-0 in district play. South Oldham, though not ranked in the top 25, did rank ahead of the Lady Colonels in the KVCA Regional poll, finishing in third behind Simon Kenton and North Oldham. Oldham County ranked No. 4 in the regional poll.

  • North Oldham Middle School boys...

    The North Oldham Middle School Boys' cross country team took first place at the Shelby County Invitational led by three top-5 runners. Logan Otter led the way for the Mustangs in third place, followed by Alex McCarty and Matthew Morris in fourth and fifth, respectively.

    Robert Lowe was also a top-10 finisher, finishing in seventh, while Nick Bierne clocked in in 11th

  • North Oldham boys' soccer...

    Traveling to Bowling Green over the weekend for the Purple Classic, the North Oldham boys' soccer team returned empty-handed after dropping all three of their games.

    In game one, the Mustangs played a close 2-1 game with Marshall County but fell narrowly. Colin Burke picked up a goal for the North off an assists from Quinn Foster.

  • North Oldham survives double...

     North Oldham got a test for the second week in a row, traveling to Christian Academy of Louisville for a showdown with the Centurions. After playing to a 7-7 stalemate in regulation, the teams needed two overtimes to settle the score before North finally pulled away 17-14 on a game-winning 24 yard field goal from Caleb Kellogg.

  • Oldham County falls 28-14 to...

     A tough week for the Oldham County Colonels got a little tougher Friday night as a 28-14 loss to Collins extended theirn losing streak to two games.

  • South Oldham knocks out North...

     A week after falling 27-0 to Meade County, the South Oldham Dragons reponded in a big way Friday night, knocking off host North Bullitt 26-6 in a game that wasn't as close as the score suggests.

    The Eagles struck first on their opening drive as Travis Downing plunged in from four yards out with eight minutes to play in the first quarter but from then on, it was all South Oldham as they would score 19 unanswered points.

  • North Oldham continues unbeaten...

    The North Oldham varsity and jv boys' golf squads took to the courses at Nevel Meade and Long Run Park on Thursday, posting victories against Trinity High School in dual matches. The teams remain undefeated in match play this year.

  • North Oldham boys' soccer...

     Missing six players due to injury or suspension, the North Oldham Mustangs struggled in their game against Manual on Aug, 28. The defense played admirably, allowing only one goal, but the goals just wouldn't come for North as they fell 1-0.  

  • BESTING THE IRONMAN

    On Saturday morning, nearly 3,000 athletes began the annual Ironman triathlon by wading into the murky waters of the Ohio River. 

    Over the course of the next 17 hours and 140 miles, several of Oldham County’s own finished.
