    FRANKFORT —In the newly formed team tournament format, the North Oldham boys tennis team won its second straight Eighth Region team championship last Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Western Hills.

    South Oldham’s girls tennis team also won a team title with a 3-1 victory over Oldham County.

    Viehmann has been hired to take over as athletics director at North Oldham High School as of July 1, replacing AD of three years Alan Yanke.

    BUCKNER — Senior Night brought the best out of the Oldham County girls’ lacrosse team.

    The Lady Colonels closed out the regular season in historic fashion by beating North Oldham 12-6 to earn their first district win in the two year history of the program.

    Oldham County wrapped up the regular season 7-5 and 1-2 in district play.

    GOSHEN — North Oldham has had a season of streaks. The Lady Mustangs hope a recent turn of good fortune continues for the remainder of the year.

    North Oldham used five runs in the sixth inning to top South Oldham 9-1 Tuesday to sweep the regular season series with the cross-town rival.

    Senior Erin Parker went 4-4 at the plate with two runs scored and sophomore Anna Maiocco earned the win from the circle while also driving in two runs in a 2-3 effort at the plate.
