    The home lights shined on the South Oldham boys’ soccer team for the first time Saturday night as they went on to defeat there cross county rivals North Oldham 1-0.

  • South Oldham blitzes Oldham...

    Welcoming South Oldham to Bell Field Friday night, Oldham County fell 0-2 in rivalry games this season as the Dragons gained control early and never looked back, blitzing the Colonels 42-18.

    Three South Oldham players in particular led the charge as as seniors Jack Sherry, Dallas Banks and Kyle Young lit up the scoreboard early and often in the win.

  • North, South Oldham soccer teams...

    Heading into the back stretch of the 2012 season, the race for 29th district supremacy is underway for local boys' and girls' soccer teams but the picture couldn't be any cloudier. This week will go a long way in helping clear that up as several key meetings will give a clearer understanding of how teams will be ranked when district tournaments start.

  • North Oldham boys' golf...

    The North Oldham boys' varsity team continued their unbeaten streak in match play alive, besting Eastern High School by 15 strokes at Nevel Meade Thursday. North Oldham's next big challenge will Saturday as they take on Covington Catholic at Boone Links in Florence, Ky. From there, they'll get a local challenge in the Oldham Cup as they will try to steal the trophy from Oldham County, the two-time defending champion.

    North Oldham’s Brianne Brown won the State Championship in the 2A Girls Long Jump in May by breaking the state meet record held for 38 years with a jump of 18 feet, 6.5 ianches.

  • Battle for the Oldham Cup

    For the last 24 months, the Oldham Cup has resided at Oldham County High School. Early next week, the North and South Oldham boys’ golf teams will look to make sure it has a new home for the next 12 months as they take to three local golf courses across the county in a rivalry showdown with the defending champion Colonels.

    After a week with all three local teams on the road, football action returns to Oldham County this Friday with plenty of excitement in tow. Rivals Oldham County and South Oldham get things started at 7:30 p.m. Friday, as the Dragons travel to Bell Field looking to extend their winning streak to a pair of games after defeating North Bullitt 26-6 over the weekend.
