BUCKNER – Oldham County’s Chad Szczublewski was going through warmups Monday night before the Colonels’ game against North Oldham when he noticed the sidewall on his stick was broken.

“When the sidewall breaks the ball falls out,” OC coach Marcus Lane said. “So we re-strung both sides and he started shooting and was like, ‘Man, it feels good.’ And he just went off.”

Macht and South’s other seniors have still never lost to the Colonels during their high school careers.

“You always like to keep a streak alive and go out with a win,” Macht said.
