  • Jarrett aims to repeat as...

Avoiding scenarios that don’t present the best possible outcomes is what Aspen Jarrett has spent her junior year working toward on the tennis court. As Oldham County’s best tennis player, Jarrett has gone through a rigorous 2015 schedule to prepare herself for the tough competition she’ll see in the state tournament, since that’s where her sights are set.

  • Right for Ray: South Oldham...

There wasn’t anything special about the pregame routine for the North Oldham and South Oldham girls lacrosse Tuesday evening in Goshen. South Oldham coach Bob Newton began announcing his team’s lineup. No surprises with the starters until he called the last name.

    “Hannah!” he shouted.

And there was senior Hannah Ray. Standing near the outside of the huddle and like she had all season, not given any thought to her name in the lineup.
