  • Mustangs race by Henry in...

    NEW CASTLE – The North Oldham Mustangs hit the stretch run against Henry County Friday and found that extra gear.

    NOHS, ranked No. 11 in the 3A, scored twice in the fourth quarter to gain a minor 18-14 upset over No. 3 Henry County and pick up the all important district win.

  • Wright, Whitworth win Grand Slam...

    CRESTWOOD - Don Wright of La Grange and Grace Whitworth of Centerfield posted the lowest cumulative times in the Oldham County Grand Slam of running.

    The Grand Slam consists of four races, all in the county and are designed to get residents out to live a healthier lifestyle.

    Wright posted a time of 1:12:00 for his four races while Whitworth had a time of 1:30:17 to lead the women.

    Like umpires and referees, Spencer Gooch knows his job will likely go unnoticed unless he screws up.

    Gooch, a senior who handles long-snapping duties for the North Oldham Mustangs’ football team, takes pride in his job and knowing he does it well whenever NOHS makes a field goal or PAT or gets off a punt.

    CRESTWOOD – The near misses of past seasons are being erased by the South Oldham High School boys’ soccer team this year.

    The Dragons have raced out to a 10-1 record this season thanks to 15 seniors and solid work ethic.

  • Rumble draws 1,634 runners

    GOSHEN – It was hot and crowded at the fifth annual Rumble in the Jungle Run hosted by North Oldham High School Saturday.

    With humidity levels up, the runners battled big fields and the heat in a race that has emerged as one of the area’s most competitive in recent years.
