    South Oldham’s December girls basketball schedule has included a showdown with Highlands for much of the last decade.

    This year is no different, as the Lady Dragons and Bluebirds will meet at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at South.

    Scheduling a team like Highlands, the defending Region 9 runner-up, prepares South for district play, coach Christy Higdon said.

North went on to place first in the match Dec. 3 against Fairdale, Bullit East and South.   • Bad weather causes game...

    Inclement weather has affected the county high school sports schedule.

    Several games were postponed over the last week as a result of a winter storm that rolled into town last Friday.

    North Oldham’s boys basketball home game vs. Fern Creek was postponed from Dec. 6 to Jan. 25.

    Oldham County’s girls basketball home game vs. Bullitt Central was postponed from Dec. 6 to Dec. 23.
