    Aaron Franklin scored 17 of his 21 points in the first half as South Oldham defeated North Oldham 82-68 on Tuesday night in what is a preview of the semi-final matchup of the District 29 tournament in less than a month.

  • Girls Basketball: South Oldham...

    South Oldham picked up its eighth win in nine games with a 70-39 win over North Oldham on Tuesday night. Lexi Bowlden scored a game-high 16 points and added nine rebounds while Sydney Herold finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Lady Dragons' second win in district play seals second place in the District 29 regular season standings for South Oldham.

    The Colonels picked up their eighth straight win on Friday night with a dominant defensive display. Oldham County defeated Shelby County 84-54 as four Colonel starters scored in double-figures.

  • Girls Basketball: Oldham County...

    After playing a less than stellar first half plagued with turnovers, Oldham County outscored Shelby County by 12 points in the final 11-and-a-half minutes for a 64-55 victory, the Lady Colonels second win of the week. Alexis and Sophia Head each scored 19 points while Kylee Nurenberger and Madison Clark added eight points apiece.

  • Girls Basketball: South Oldham...

    After an off-shooting night in a loss to Trimble County, South Oldham’s hot start against Ballard was able to propel the Lady Dragons to a 67-64 win despite a strong fourth quarter rally by the Lady Bruins on Wednesday night. Sydney Herold scored a team-high 20 points while Peyton Herold and Maggie Smith added 18 and 16 points, respectively.

     South Oldham hosted the annual Dragon Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 21). Nine of the 18 teams that competed in the wrestling tournament were ranked in the top 25 of the KentuckyWrestling.com rankings.

  • Boys Basketball: Oldham County...

    Oldham County reeled off its fifth consecutive win with a 71-47 victory over Collins on Friday night. The Colonels (15-3) never trailed their Eighth Region opponent and forced 28 turnovers. Zach Larimore finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and six steals while Jackson Gibson had 14 points, seven assists and five steals.

  • Girls Basketball: Trimble County...

    South Oldham suffered their first district loss of the season, falling to Trimble County 55-40 on Thursday night to snap the Lady Dragons four-game winning streak. Led by Kaylee Clifford, who scored 27 points, Trimble County limited South Oldham to 27 percent shooting from the field.
