    Lady Colonel assistant Libbey Smith has been named the head coach of the Oldham County girls’ soccer team, replacing former coach of 24 years Dan Schulz.

    LOUISVILLE — Jacob Karaglonis wanted to try something new when he decided to join North Oldham’s swim team this season. As a senior, Karaglonis knew the reputation North Oldham had built in the pool and wanted to contribute to the legacy.

    He didn’t realize he would enjoy that legacy as much as when he hoisted the Cup, which isn’t changing its address.

    North Oldham senior Cat Fiorito has etched her name in the record books with even more opportunities still within reach.

    Fiorito was honored at the North Oldham boys’ basketball game last Thursday night for joining the 1,000 career-points club this season, a feat she accomplished in her career-high 29-point effort against Oldham County on Jan. 15.
