GOSHEN — There are no signs in the near future of North Oldham’s cross country program weakening. The Mustangs have only gotten better at the state meet through five-straight state championships from 2010-14.
North Oldham boys golf finds itself in a familiar scenario. Once again, the Mustangs return talent that places them a cut above the competition with the rest of the county, led by two golfers as its foundation.
GOSHEN — Senior midfielder Keyon Ghayoumi noticed a spark in practice last week that he says gave him confidence that North Oldham boys soccer will be just fine after losing 13 seniors from last year’s team. During a team activity where numbers were down on a certain drill, an inexperienced sophomore stepped in to the role and brought more energy to the group than anyone else, and the competition subsequently increased.
GOSHEN — Finishing opportunities is what the North Oldham girls soccer team is emphasizing early in fall practice. After all, not capitalizing on its chances cost the Lady Mustangs their season last year.
GOSHEN — North Oldham field hockey coach Michelle Dixon took an unlikely approach when scheduling the 2015 season for the Lady Mustangs. She wants to put the fun back into the KHSAA’s most-recently sponsored sport, while also maintaining the competitive edge.
