North Oldham

  • Mustangs place 10 on all-district team

    GOSHEN – After reaching the regional finals in a year when they were picked to finish last in their district, the post season honors have come for the North Oldham High School football team.
    A total of 10 Mustangs were awarded first team all-district status in a vote by the Greater Louisville Coaches Association. Of the 10 NOHS players, six are underclassmen including four sophomore linemen.

  • Basketball preview: NOHS Mustangs

    Junior center Devon Rowan has been tabbed as the preseason player of the year by the coaches as the Mustangs hope to make a run at a first regional title under first-year coach David Henley.
    LAST YEAR: 12-16, lost to Shelby County 83-70 first round regional tourney.
    TOP LOSSES: All-Region guard Alex Foley who averaged 18.6 points a game last season and was a three-year starter.

    LAST YEAR
    14-10, lost 68-50 to Oldham County in the first round of the district.
    KEY LOSSES
    Senior point guard Oliva Raffli and forward Amanda Mattern.
    TOP PLAYER
    Nicole Bryant, a 5-foot-10 swingman who made all-region after averaging 15points a game last season.
    KEY RETURNEES
    Jessica Lowe 5-foot-10 senior center; Lucy Gibson 5-foot-9 junior forward.
