  • Girls Basketball: South defeats North

    Using two dominant first half runs, South Oldham girls basketball completed its sweep of District 29 competition in regular season play, the first time since 2013, following a 69-50 victory over North Oldham Tuesday Jan. 30 in Goshen. The Dragons attained the number one seed for the district tournament, which will be hosted at North Oldham in late February.

  • Match ups in the rivalry

    The first of three intra-county rivalry basketball games tip off Friday night as South Oldham boys and girls basketball hosts Oldham County. The girls’ game begins at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game will follow.

    North Oldham boys basketball celebrated the careers of nine seniors in a pregame ceremony, but couldn't complete a fourth-quarter comeback attempt and fell to Meade County 65-63 Friday Feb. 9 in Goshen.

  • Boys Basketball: North clobbers Atherton

     It wasn’t a typical home game for North Oldham boys basketball as it played in the small gym on the Goshen campus, but nine 3-pointers helped the Mustangs win their fifth straight game, defeating Atherton 64-43 Saturday Feb. 3.

    Justin Rose had a team-high 20 points and six rebounds while Justin Burton scored 14 points. Cole Fischer added 12 points.

  • North Oldham rallies around Wilson Johnson

    North Oldham students are leading a fundraising effort for Wilson Johnson, a former football coach at North Oldham High School and current staffer at North Oldham Middle School (NOMS).

    Eighth grader Leah Sanders started a GoFundMe Wednesday Jan. 31 asking for donations to help Johnson cover medical expenses after he was diagnosed with cancer several months ago.

  • Boys Basketball: North and South clash

    North Oldham boys basketball made six of eight free throws in the final 40 seconds to hold off South Oldham for a 56-51 victory in Goshen Tuesday.

  • Girls Basketball: North routs Western

     A night after falling to rival Oldham County, North Oldham girls basketball responded with a 65-10 victory over Western Tuesday night in Goshen. The Mustangs held Western scoreless until the final seconds of the first half as every player from North Oldham appeared in a game where the running clock mercy rule began late in the second quarter.

  • Girls Basketball: Oldham defeats North

    Behind a suffocating third quarter defensive performance, Oldham County girls basketball defeated North Oldham 53-36 Tuesday in Goshen. The Colonels held North Oldham to one point in the third quarter as Oldham County outscored the Mustangs by 13 points in the decisive eight-minute stretch.

  • Oldham basketball hosts North in doubleheader

    Oldham County girls and boys basketball hosts North Oldham for the second of three intra-county rivalry double headers Friday. The girls’ game begins at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game will follow.

  • Boys Basketball: Butler blasts North

    A night after its reign of the only unbeaten team in the state ended, Butler boys basketball had a dominant performance against North Oldham, a 53-35 victory, in the Whitefield Down Syndrome Classic hosted at Whitefield Academy Saturday. Dylan Yates had a team-high 10 points while Justin Rose finished with seven points and six rebounds for North Oldham.
