  • Fairfleid is second in Dr. Pepper throw

    BUCKNER – After a perfect preliminary round, Matt Fairfield didn't quite have the day he expected in the Dr. Pepper Tuition Throw at the Southeastern Conference championship football game Saturday.
    Fairfield, an Oldham County High School senior, came in second in the throw losing to a female student 7-5 competing to attend Belmont University.

  • Leary heads up all-district team

    LOUISVILLE – Oldham County High School’s Brett Leary and South Oldham High School’s Dillon Banks head up the local stars named to the Greater Louisville Football Coaches Association 5A All-District football team.
    Leary, a 6-foot, 190-pound tailback led the local offensive contingent, while Banks, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound linebacker led the defensive unit.
