In a way, South Oldham golfer Molly Bebelaar achieved the goal she set out to obtain for her sophomore year. Bebelaar finished 15th at the KHSAA Girls State Championship on Wednesday, shooting a 14-over-par 158 during the two-round tournament in Bowling Green.
For the first time in program history, South Oldham football is 7-0. The undefeated Dragons were tested early by host Bullitt East on Friday night, but South Oldham pulled away with a 52-27 victory due to another superb performance by running back Keaton Martin.
North Oldham hosted the boys and girls soccer District 29 tournament this week. With a spot in the Region Eight tournament at stake, South Oldham, North Oldham and Oldham County competed. Both Oldham County's boys and girls teams had a bye because of wins in the regular season and won the tournament on Wednesday night.
Oldham County put together its most dominant performance in coach Mike Shatzer’s three-year tenure and the Colonels kept their playoff hopes alive with a 48-6 win over Nelson County. Tommy Grogan scored three rushing touchdowns and most of the second half was played with a running clock.
