South Oldham’s feverish comeback in the final minute fell short as the Lady Dragons lost to host Floyd Central 58-54 on Thursday night. Three Lady Dragons scored in double figures, Sydney Herold (14 points), Maggie Smith (11 points) and Lexi Bowlden (10 points).
The City of La Grange held its annual Light Up La Grange Saturday night throughout the downtown area. Attendees enjoyed visits with Santa, live music, business specials, face painting, hot chocolate, candy canes and more.
The woods were lovely, dark and deep in Goshen at the Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve’s Nature of Christmas event Dec. 3. The nature preserve’s Christmas celebration included a holiday bazaar, s’mores, a hay ride, a visit from Santa and other attractions.
South Oldham football’s historic season came to a close on Friday night in the state semi-final round to Pulaski County. The Dragons set a program record in wins (12) and started 9-0 for the first time in program history.
Oldham County Judge-Executive David Voegele recently announced a project to help residents give a second life to their fresh trees after the holidays. The trees will be recycled into mulch at no cost to residents as the holidays come to a close.
