The year was 1987, and I was in the 11th grade. I had recently transferred from a small Christian school and was not yet accustomed to the ways of my public school peers. But I was fairly certain none of them would be wearing a homemade, black wedding gown to the springtime formal event.
Bringing the spirit of the past alive is one of the things the Oldham County History Center is best known for. The first weekend in June will showcase the 18th century, a time when Kentucky was still a county of the state of Virginia.
