Duke University Talent Identification Program’s (TIP) seventh grade talent search serves academically talented students and helps them identify their abilities and interests and celebrate their achievements.
Tri-County Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at the Trimble County Cooperative Extension Office at 43 High Country Lane in Bedford. The public is invited to attend.
South Oldham Middle School eighth graders Eloise Brown and Caroline Adams and South Oldham High School senior Adam Osborne served as pages for Senator Ernie Harris during the recent legislative session. Brown is the president of the Beta Club. Adams is its vice president.
Last week, Oldham County preschool students participated in a STEM program through the Kentucky Science Center. They learned about liquids, gases and how to make rockets. They also discovered ways to build different types of structures with various materials and learned about different types of animals and their bodies.
In Minnesota, during the summer of 1876, there was a swarm of grasshoppers destroying the crops. It was the fourth year in a row that the wheat, corn, oat, and barley fields were destroyed across the state.
