East Oldham Middle School football is unique because it doesn’t feed directly into a high school program, meaning first-year head coach Andrew Rochet doesn’t have to cater to a certain style of play to prepare players for their prep years. Instead, he and his coaching staff focus on teaching technique and fundamentals.
Law enforcement officers from 17 agencies across the commonwealth were recognized for completing the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Academy of Police Supervision, including Raymond J. Whitehill of the La Grange Police Department.
On Aug. 17, Oldham County students returned to school for their first day. This year, Oldham County Schools will welcome 12,238 students for a school year scheduled to end June 1, 2017. The number has increased from 12,049 last school year.
