The Girls Mid-Bluegrass Conference Championship was hosted at South Oldham Middle School this week. South Oldham won the eighth and sixth grade tournament championship while Oldham County claimed the seventh grade title.
Capitalizing on the all too familiar game plan, South Oldham made 15 3-pointers on Saturday against Christian Academy of Louisville for an 82-72. Joe Griffin had a team-high 21 points as four Dragons scored in double figures.
Louisville Male defeated North Oldham 62-53 in the Mustangs’ home opener on Tuesday night. North Oldham led by nine points late in the third quarter, but had a slew of turnovers and Male outscored the Mustangs by 18 points in the final 10 minutes.
Zach Wheeler and Justin Rose each scored 15 points for North Oldham while Jeffrey McLellan added 13.
Despite a bevy of adversity in the past month, for the fourth consecutive year, Oldham County wrestling won the Oldham Super Duals. The Colonels defeated Simon Kenton in the championship 45-31 on Saturday. North Oldham and South Oldham also wrestled at the event, but neither placed.
Ethan, age 15, Zachary, age 5 and Malcolm, age 3, announce the birth of their brother, Miles Havyln Satterly. Miles was born Nov. 20 at 1:33 p.m. at Baptist Health La Grange. He weighed 7 lbs. and 13.5 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.
