The La Grange Rotary Club, with the support of the South Oldham and Prospect/Goshen Rotary Clubs, is sponsoring a $10,000 raffle to raise money for scholarships, as well as local and international service projects.
The Oldham County History Center will present “The Time Capsule Murder” on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. at the John W. Black Community Center, located at 1551 N. Hwy. 393, and presented by the Oldham County High School Drama Club.
The South Oldham Rotary presented checks to the principals at the South Oldham schools to help with their indigent funds. They also presented a check to the South Oldham Inter-Church Council (SOICC) to help with the Barry Stoess Christmas food baskets.
When the Oldham County Historical Society’s Peyton Samuel Head Family Museum reopens on Saturday, Jan. 7, one of the exhibits will have special meaning to the inmates of the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex. They have made 200 teddy bears to give away to the first 200 visitors (limit one per family) to the Kentucky State Reformatory exhibit at the museum.
