The city of Pewee Valley has sent out a warning to “residents, runners and walkers that frequent the area,” cautioning them against approaching an aggressive hawk that has taken up residency in the Mt. Mercy Place area. The following is from their press release:
“There is a hawk nesting in the immediate area. There have been incidences of the hawk acting aggressively toward people in the area. The hawk is a federally protected species and cannot be relocated, harassed, or harmed in any way.
