Through the first week of the season, Oldham County softball’s offense has churned out production as well as any team in the state. The Lady Colonels are averaging nearly 20 runs per game on their way to a 4-0 start.
Winter sports officially ended for Oldham County two weeks ago as the basketball season came to a close. Every team in Oldham County faced ups and downs this season, but each team does return a portion of production for next year.
In January, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) approved 209 growers to raise up to 12,800 acres of industrial hemp for research purposes in Kentucky. Six of those farms are in Oldham County, doubling the amount of participants in the county from last year.
