Last year, South Oldham softball moved into spring break with a 4-2 record and spent a week away from softball while school wasn’t in session. The week off may not have been beneficial for the Lady Dragons as the team won just two of their final 14 games.
South Oldham baseball picked up its second district win of the season behind a dominant performance by pitcher Will Moriarty. The senior threw a complete game as South Oldham defeated Oldham 3-2 Monday night in Buckner. Tanner Johnson went 1 for 2 with an RBI double and Moriarty added an RBI single while Oldham County's Tyler Morrison pitched a complete game.
It was April 6, 1998, when my mother, after a full day of teaching third grade, was admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain. The following day we started saying goodbye, and on April 10, she passed away.
