     Veteran’s cards a success

Recently, there was a luncheon sponsored by Oldham County American Legion Post 39 and the Kentucky Veterans of the Year program that recognized Vietnam veterans.  Veterans Memorial Park of Kentucky, being built in Crestwood, contacted the principals of Camden Station, Crestwood Elementary and Kenwood Station Schools, requesting cards from students thanking the veterans attending the event for their service.

  • The punishment for our sins was paid by Jesus

In I Corinthians 6:19-20, Paul writes some amazing words, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

  • A focus on women’s health

    By Karen Wyatt

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month — a good time for women to pay special attention to their overall health. With help from the Centers for Disease Control, the YMCA offers these suggestions to help women stay healthy and fit. With the return of busy school days and the crush of holiday activities, it’s easy to fall off the “healthy living” wagon.
