  • Year in Review: District 3 Magistrate Bob Leslie

    Citizens of Oldham County:

In my years as magistrate, I have been Chairman of the Environmental, Parks and Public Safety Committees. I have voted against all tax increases and advocated for reduction in indebetedness.

I gave my first years to various groups through out the community. The Friends of Westport was started through this grant. I was a board member for Tri-County Community Action Agency for eight years.

  • Year in Review: District 8 Magistrate Michael Logsdon

First, let me start by saying it has been a pleasure serving my constituents of District 8 and the people of Oldham County. It’s truly been a wonderful year and I want to thank you.

I have learned a lot over the past year, serving on three committees, answering countless phone calls and meeting with constituents.

  • Year in Review: District 7 Magistrate Bob Dye

To the citizens of Oldham County:

As my first year as Magistrate draws to a close, I would like to say thank you to everyone that assisted me in becoming a productive public servant. This past year has flown by!

Other than my duties on fiscal court, I have attended several workshops and conferences. I have learned a great deal, but there is a great deal yet to learn.

  • Year in Review: District 6 Magistrate Kevin Eldridge

This first year has flown by. I truly appreciate those of you who have contacted me. We have not always agreed but we have worked toward forging relationships that will move our county forward. I want to also thank the judge-executive’s staff as well as the other county employees. They have done the day-to-day hard work that it takes to make this county run as smoothly as it does.

  • Year in Review: District 5 Magistrate JD Sparks

    Citizens of Oldham County:

It has really been a great year serving as your magistrate in District 5. I am not sure I was fully prepared for the range of issues that we as a court would face in the new year.

I had hoped to be able to make much more radical changes in some ways but feel that things are very much headed in the right direction in our county.

  • Year in Review: District 4 Magistrate Steve Greenwell

To the citizens of Oldham County:

I want to take this opportunity at year’s end to thank you for the opportunity to serve as your elected representative on fiscal court.

It truly is a humbling experience and one that I don’t take lightly.

  • Year in Review: District 2 Magistrate Wayne Theiss

As the first year of the new administration draws to a close, I would like to reflect on the many achievements that have been accomplished.

The Buckner Mall has been eliminated, making way for a new turning lane.

Several new businesses have been established and the aesthetic of Buckner, the heart of Oldham County, is constantly being improved.

  • Year In Review: Judge-Executive takes a look back at 2011

There are multiple ways to measure success. As your judge-executive, however, the primary method I use to gauge success is customer satisfaction. Are the citizens of Oldham County pleased with how their county government has function this year? I hope so.
