     Thanks for support

  • God speaks in a gentle whisper or a burning bush

Through the years I have written about listening to the gentle whisper of God.

This comes from Elijah’s experience at the mountain when he is trying to understand why God used him to win the great bull burning contest (I Kings 18), but then the evil Queen Jezebel responded by sending her army to kill Elijah.  He wants to know where God is as he is running for his life. He has been obedient, and it has gotten him in trouble.

Listening carefully, I breathed in deeply and tried to determine what had caused my brain to momentarily transport me to the most comforting place of my childhood.

Various psychological studies show that self-esteem is a key factor in a wide range of emotional problems.

     Wake up!

People, it’s time to wake up, stand up and speak up for our country!  We have a president who tries to hide behind a golf ball to avoid making good, honest decisions regarding the safety and possibly future of our great nation.

  • Do all religions worship the same god?

At a comparative religions conference, the wise and the scholarly were in a spirited debate about what is unique about Christianity.  Someone suggested what set Christianity apart from other religions was the concept of incarnation, the idea that God took human form in Jesus. But someone quickly said, “Well, actually, other faiths believe that God appears in human form.”
