     Citizens Academy Graduate

    The La Grange Police Citizens Academy is a 10-week course sponsored by the La Grange Police Department. My wife and I recently had the opportunity to attend and it was time well spent.  The academy is free, by the way, and held at the police station in downtown La Grange.

    Having my childhood and early adult life pretty evenly split between Indiana and Tennessee, I find that my allegiance is often torn.  There are so many things I love about the Hoosier State; the first signs of spring after a long, hard winter, pork tenderloin sandwiches bigger than the hog they came from, and some of the kindest, most friendly people you could ever hope to meet.

     I’ve never met a stranger and I consider it a privilege to speak to everyone I’m introduced to.  You see, I’m homegrown.  I was born in Louisville and have always felt we possess good Southern hospitality.
