McHatton named to dean’s list at Georgia Tech

Shain McHatton, of Prospect, made the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

The designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

Bradley among Georgia Tech fall graduates

The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to approximately 6,300 undergraduate and graduate students — including Crestwood’s Lee Bradley — during the institute’s 265th commencement exercises, which were held from Dec. 15-16 at McCamish Pavilion.

Mangan makes the dean’s list at Saint Francis University

Reagen Mangan, of Goshen, was named to the dean’s list at Saint Francis University, which is located in Loretto, Pennsylvania.

Mangan, majoring in Health Science PA, was among 801 students who earned a spot on one of the honors lists (president’s list and dean’s list) for the fall semester.

To earn an honors list distinction a student must have full-time status with a quality point average of 4.0 (president’s list) or 3.5 (dean’s list) on 12 or more credits during a single semester, with no continuing or incomplete grades.

Gunn, Smith make president’s list at Coastal Carolina University

More than 1,300 students earned a spot on the president’s list for the fall 2023 semester at Coastal Carolina (South Carolina) University, including Crestwood’s Carter Gunn and Goshen’s Jordyn Smith.

Students who made the president’s list have achieved a 4.0 grade-point average during the semester.

Schindler named to dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University

More than 3,000 undergraduate students at Coastal Carolina University were named to the dean’s lst for the fall semester, including Payton Schindler, from Goshen.

Students who make the dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (3.25 for freshmen) for the semester.

Whittle inducted into honor society of Phi Kappa Phi

Kathryn Whittle, of Prospect, was recently initiated into the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society.

Whittle was initiated at Berry (Georgia) College.

Whittle is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.

Only the top 10% of seniors and 7.5% of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10% of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
