    BUCKNER – After dominating the region with a one-two-three finish last year, local high school wrestling teams are primed to do just that again.

    South Oldham, Oldham County and North Oldham all return top-flight wrestlers that include state champion contenders.

    BUCKNER – Fortune failed to smile on the Oldham County Colonels Friday as they fell to John Hardin 42-23 in the second round of the state 5A playoffs.

    John Hardin caught several breaks and took advantage of some uncharacteristic OCHS mistakes to advance, ending the Colonels’ season at 9-3.

    As Thanksgiving approaches and I take time to count my blessings I am haunted with memories. I am haunted by the memory of so many stories of sexual impurity, drug and alcohol abuse and murder in schools and in the lives of teenagers. I am haunted by the brokenness of many marriages, and a divorce rate that is far too high. I am haunted by the memory of human slaughter done by governments which is so senseless and evil, the death of so many caused by hurricanes, tsunamis, and earthquakes is difficult to even comprehend.
