As a child, Marion Blumenthal Lazan played games in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany.
Lazan shared her experiences Nov. 19 with Oldham County Middle School students who have been discussing Lazan’s memoir, Four Perfect Pebbles: A Holocaust Story.
Born in 1934, Lazan grew up in Nazi-ruled Germany where laws were already being enforced against the Jews.
“Jews were not allowed into theaters, swimming pools, parks or public schools,” said Lazan. “There were curfews and shopping restrictions for Jews.”
