    Bertha Mae West Miller, 96, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Oaklawn.

    She was a native of Elizabethtown, and a member of the Pewee Valley Presbyterian Church.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Herman Miller, and a sister, Pearl Detenber.

Recently, Travis Stewart received confirmation. He is one of only 69 students in the nation, and four in Kentucky to score a 36, the highest possible score.

    While some might just avoid reading the news when violence strikes, news coverage of escalating violence in Gaza recently prompted one Oldham County mom to pack her bags. 

    Sharon Wallace traveled to Gaza Jan. 7 in hopes of delivering much-needed medical supplies to Palestinians caught in crossfire between Hamas and Israel.

  • Crestwood man charged for counterfeit cash

    What started as a drug investigation Jan. 5 ended up as a case of counterfeit money spreading through one Kentucky community.

    Kevin Michael Sheehan, 27, of Crestwood, was arrested by the Bullitt County Drug Task Force, which initiated the investigation.
