Crestwood man dies during four-wheeler ride

Police found the body of a missing Crestwood man in Marion County Monday after he left a cabin during the weekend to go four-wheeling and did not return.Friends of Bobby Angell, 48, searched for him throughout the day Saturday and reported him missing to Kentucky State Police Sunday morning.<

South hosts ACT prep class

Coaching a positive experience

With my love of all that is sports, and in more recent years coaching, there’s no doubt I was thrilled when an opportunity to help coach the North Oldham High School baseball team presented itself. Working as a floating assistant, I pretty much help the four primary coaches wherever they can use me with either the varsity or junior varsity squads. As varsity head coach Matt Walker told me, it never hurts to have an extra set of eyes and ears on the ball field.

Dodging Big Macs like bullets

Steve Greenwell is Oldham County government’s biggest loser.

During the last eight weeks, the already svelte magistrate dropped 26 pounds – from 175 to 149 pounds – to lose the highest percentage of weight and win a weight-loss competition among county

employees.

Greenwell said he felt like joining the contest for the sake of encouraging others, but when other employees started telling him he couldn’t win it, “that just threw gas on the fire.”
