A fund that helps dole out scholarships to local students is hoping to push its total giving to more than $100,000 this year.
The Oldham County Community Scholarships has been giving out scholarships since 2013 officially, but was born out of the Oldham County Dollars for Scholars program, which started in 2004.
This year, OCCS gave out $78,600 to 68 recipients, but with increased demand, wants to increase the total scholarship numbers into six figures.
