     This week the Oldham County Public Library opened for business.  If you haven’t visited yet, you’ve got to see it and share in the excitement.  It’s the first LEED certified building in Oldham County.  Another one is being built in Crestwood.

  • OCTANE will offer classes on PCtroubleshooting and repair

    The Oldham County Technology Advancement Network will be offering intermediate level computer classes at the Adult Education center in Crestwood beginning Feb. 2. The five evening classes are designed for individuals who want to know more about computer hardware, software, networks and technical support, especially those who may be reponsible for maintaining computers and networks in small offices and quick course.

     In Richard Parrott’s fifth-grade classroom at Buckner Elementary, students used the “school pad” to review the correct answers to their geometry exam.

    “Do you want me to write it?” asked a student who was answering a question that she had responded correctly to on the exam.

  • Crestwood man arrested in Bullitt County

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - What started as a drug investigation ended up Monday being a case of counterfeit money being spread throughout the community.

    Kevin Michael Sheehan, 27, of Crestwood, was arrested by the Bullitt County Drug Task Force, which initiated the investigation.

  • Anniversary Announcement

    Carl and Annabelle Rogers celebrated 74 years of marriage on Dec. 22, 2008. The couple, who live in La Grange, are the parents of Ida (Keith) Hall and the late Mary Doty. 

    They celebrated with their three grandchildren, Dotty (Steve) Sparrow, John Doty, and Roger Doty and their six great-grandchildren.

    LA GRANGE – At this time last year Donna Williams was a new kid on the block in bodybuilding – now she’s the competitor everyone is chasing.

    Williams, 33, of La Grange, will defend her lightweight bodybuilding division championship at the Kentucky Muscle Strength and Fitness Extravaganza this weekend at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville.

  • Mayor sues city council

    The mayor of La Grange has filed a lawsuit against the city council, claiming members violated state law in recent months while conducting city business. 

    Carter alleges the violations occurred when council members voted to rescind her nomination for city attorney, Graham Whatley, and also while choosing the city’s tax rate.

    Bridge Hill crash leaves one dead, three injured

    The Latest: An Eminence man died Saturday evening in a crash on Ky. 22 in an area known as Bridge Hill. 

    According to Oldham County Police, Odon Hernandez, 42, died in a three-vehicle collision about 5:30 p.m. on Ky. 22 near Crestwood.
