  • Moore will speak about adoption at La Grange Baptist Church

    Dr. Russell Moore, a nationally recognized speaker on the topic of adoption will be making a presentation at 10:45 a.m. March 1 at La Grange Baptist Church.

    Dr. Moore will address the need for Christian couples to care for orphans through ministry and adoption.

  • Brownsboro master plan will be revealed Tuesday to P&Z

     After nearly seven long years to the day, the Oldham County Planning Commission has an opportunity to advance the county’s comprehensive plan, Outlook 2020, as envisioned back in February 2002. 

    On Feb. 24, the Planning Commission will consider the first of eight area masters plans called for in Outlook 2020. The Brownsboro Area Master Plan will be presented to the commission for approval.

    A Crestwood man driving southbound on Centerfield Drive Monday afternoon struck a culvert with his vehicle and it overturned.

  • Farm Service Agency announces emergency conservation program for ice storm damage

    Agricultural producers who suffered damage as a result of the January 2009 ice storm may request cost-share assistance from USDA to rehabilitate damaged farmlands. 

    The Emergency Conservation Program (ECP), administered by Farm Service Agency (FSA), provides cost-share assistance when disaster damage is so severe that recovery without federal assistance is unlikely.

All you have to do is remain a baby in the faith, allow yourself to be subject to trickery, become intrigued with each new theology-of-the-day, and then you will become easy prey for deceitful scheming by others.      For nearly four years now the Oldham County Chamber of Commerce, and subsequently the Oldham County Airport Board have been studying the feasibility of a general aviation airport in Oldham County as a potential tool to attract more economic development to Oldham County in an effort to reduce the dependence on residential property taxes for county income.

    An Oldham County Circuit Court judge recently issued a decision regarding a civil lawsuit I filed against Judge-Executive Duane Murner.

  • Magistrate wins court battle

     After a ruling by an Oldham County Circuit Court judge determining that Oldham County government violated the Open Records and Open Meetings Acts, fiscal court is ordered to pay about $5,000 in fines.

    Scott Davis, an Oldham County magistrate, filed a petition last year in regards to a $100,000 anonymous donation made to the court and a September closed session meeting.
