  • Mustangs place 10 on all-district team

    GOSHEN – After reaching the regional finals in a year when they were picked to finish last in their district, the post season honors have come for the North Oldham High School football team.
    A total of 10 Mustangs were awarded first team all-district status in a vote by the Greater Louisville Coaches Association. Of the 10 NOHS players, six are underclassmen including four sophomore linemen.

  • Leary heads up all-district team

    LOUISVILLE – Oldham County High School’s Brett Leary and South Oldham High School’s Dillon Banks head up the local stars named to the Greater Louisville Football Coaches Association 5A All-District football team.
    Leary, a 6-foot, 190-pound tailback led the local offensive contingent, while Banks, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound linebacker led the defensive unit.

  • Basketball preview: NOHS Mustangs

    Junior center Devon Rowan has been tabbed as the preseason player of the year by the coaches as the Mustangs hope to make a run at a first regional title under first-year coach David Henley.
    LAST YEAR: 12-16, lost to Shelby County 83-70 first round regional tourney.
    TOP LOSSES: All-Region guard Alex Foley who averaged 18.6 points a game last season and was a three-year starter.

    Blake Payne 6-foot-1 senior guard; Nolan Denise 6-foot-5 senior forward; Tyler Wesley 6-foot-6 junior center; Dylan Sims 6-foot-2 senior forward; Alante Flores 6-foot junior guard.

  • Papa Murphy's opens store in La Grange

    The Papa  Murphy’s Take ‘N’Bake Pizza opened  Nov. 4 in the Kroger Shopping center at 2028 S. Ky. 53 Ste 7.
    Jerry W. Best Jr., owner of the franchise in Fern Creek is the owner of the new La Grange store.
    The opening in La Grange has provided 15 new jobs to Oldham County.
    The store hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
