With delicious food on the grill, extra time in the boat or backyard, and parties with friends and family, it is easy to forget that Labor Day is more than just an excuse for a long weekend on the first Monday in September.
The Oldham County History Center will be hosting an archaeology investigation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. This is a continuing investigation at the Gatewood Plantation, located outside of Bedford in Trimble County.
Ninety-one students from Oldham County have been named Senator Jeff Green Scholars by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA). To earn this honor, a student must have a 4.0 grade point average each year of high school and at least a 28 composite on the ACT.
