  • Dump site is cleaned up

    What, a dump? All traces of a dumping site discovered by The Oldham Era on Commerce Parkway are now gone, thanks to a crew from Oldham County Solid Waste Department. 

    Crews from the Oldham County Solid Waste Department spent Tuesday morning cleaning the site. 

    The Oldham Era profiled the site in the Jan. 1 edition.

  • Airport surveys distributed this week

    More than 1,000 households in Oldham County will receive a public opinion survey this week.

    The survey is designed to gauge the public’s opinion on a proposed general aviation airport in the county.

  • Court sets utility fee

    Billing will likely begin in February for a storm water management program funded by Oldham County residents to keep Oldham County’s waterways clean.

  • A $1.9m scheme

    The mother of a Crestwood man indicted for scheming $1.9 million from the United States in the form of disability payments has pleaded guilty to falsely claiming – with her son’s help – that her then-husband suffered lung cancer. 

    Susan Diane Smith, 62, of Hurricane, W.Va., pleaded guilty Dec. 18 to conspiring to steal money from the United States and paying bribes to a public official.

  • La Grange Police host annual awards ceremony

    Officer of the Year was awarded to Officer David Stratton in recognition of his outstanding dedication and commitment, as elected by his fellow officers.

    The Meritorious Service Award was presented to Officers Whitehill, Stratton, and Wolf for going above and beyond the call of duty in the course of their daily patrols.
