It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Oldham County.
With two annual holiday events planned for this weekend, local families will have a chance to see Santa, have some good food and purchase Christmas presents or other items from local businesses and vendors.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has officially opened the reconstructed portion of Ky. 393 near Centerfield in Oldham County. Transportation Secretary Joe Prather was joined Tuesday by local officials in cutting a ribbon for the roadway, which extends from Interstate 71 to Ky. 22.
It will feature a woodland walking trail, a coffee vending area and the latest advances in eco-friendly technologies. Rooms equipped with Internet teleconferencing capabilities will give an edge to powerbrokers, while more leisured visitors can relax near a lodge-like double-sided fireplace. Kids and young adults will even have their own private retreats.
