La Grange residents will soon pay more for water.
Customers of the La Grange Utilities Commission will soon see an increase in water rates after La Grange officials approved a rate increase Monday.
For customers using 3,000 gallons per month, that means an increase of $2.44 and an increase of $4.27 for those using 6,000 gallons.
Members of the La Grange City Council voted 3-2 to approve the increase, with Deborah Pollard and Jean Knight dissenting. Council members Jason Taylor and Linda Hall were absent.
