Local officials are warning residents who refuse to evacuate flooded areas that help won't be on the way.
North Oldham Fire Department's training and fire prevention coordinator, Don Dahl, said Monday that residents who choose to stay in homes surrounded by flood water cannot be reached by emergency personnel.
A town hall meeting April 14 at North Oldham High School attracted 25 residents interested in a discussion with members of the Oldham County Board of Education.
The school board hosted the meeting, and six members of the audience signed in to address the board.
