Charges of nepotism filed two and a half years ago against 11 elected property valuation administrators across the state, including Oldham County PVA Ron Winters, will finally be heard by the executive branch ethics commission after a ruling by the Kentucky Supreme Court.

Like several other PVAs throughout the state, Winters employs a family member in his office.

A recommendation to move district boundaries for the next election could lead one magistrate into another official’s territory.
Every 10 years, the county is required to appoint a committee to evaluate district boundaries based on Census figures.

In a prayer during his own retirement reception, Bill Tucker said, “We thank you for this county and the employees we have here.”
Members of Oldham County government and friends of Tucker gathered Thursday to honor his service to the county.  

The City of La Grange continues its battle with former mayor Elsie Carter. 

The latest development involves failure of Carter and her attorney to answer the city’s complaint from May 27. 

City attorney Steve Emery said at the last hearing Carter and her representation were given 20 days to respond to the city’s amended complaint.
