  • Hebel named to Murray State’s dean’s list

    South Oldham graduate Keith Hebel was named to the dean’s list at Murray State University for the spring semester. 

    To be named to the dean’s list at Murray, students must have a 3.5 grade-point average.

  • Saint Mary Academy’s campus blessing will take place Sunday

    A blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony marking the official opening of Saint Mary Academy’s new campus will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday at 11311 St. Mary Lane, Prospect, in Norton Commons. 

    Most Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, Archbishop of Louisville will preside over the ceremony.

  • Graham named to dean’s list at Washington University

    Holly Graham of Goshen was recently named to the dean’s list at Washington University in St. Louis for the spring semester.

    She is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville and attends Washington’s College of Art in the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts.

    To be named to the deans list in the College of Art, students must earn a 3.5 grade-point average.

  • South Oldham senior earns $1,000 scholarship

    Karl J. Fleischmann, a senior at South Oldham High School, is one of seven students nationwide to receive a $1,000 scholarship through the 2009 Fluke Corporation scholarship award program. He will attend the University of Louisville and plans to study engineering.

  • Stephenson earns scholarships to Georgetown College

    Jennifer Stephenson has been awarded a trustee scholarship and creative writing scholarship to attend Georgetown College in Georgetown.

    She is a recent graduate of Oldham County High School, where she was a class valedictorian.

    She will attend Georgetown this fall and plans to study English. She is the daughter of Ron and Kathy Stephenson of La Grange.

  • Oldham cadets named to dean’s list at Virginia Military Institute

    Matthew T. Dickinson and Clayton B. Willig, both of Prospect, are among the cadets named to the dean’s list at Virginia Military Institute for the spring semester.

    To be named to the dean’s list at VMI, a cadet must earn a 3.0 grade-point average and no grade below C.

    Dickinson is a sophomore studying mechanical engineering. He is the son of Janine M. Diaz and Dean K. Dickinson.

    Willig graduated from VMI and studied international studies. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell R. Willig.

  • Carlson named to honor roll at Phillips Academy

    Chelsea F. Carlson of Goshen was named to the honor roll at Phillips Academy during the spring semester.

    To be named to the honor roll at Phillips, students must earn a 5.0 grade-point average.

  • Oldham students named to University of Louisville dean’s list

    Several Oldham students were named to University of Louisville’s dean’s list for the spring semester.

  • Clore named to dean’s list at Hanover College

    Hannah Clore of Goshen is among the students named to the dean’s list at Hanover College during the spring term. 

    To be named to the dean’s list at Hanover, students must earn a 3.5 grade-point average.

    Clore, a sophomore at Hanover and a graduate of Oldham County High School, is the daughter of Oren Brannaman Clore III and Amy Clore.

  • Three from Oldham graduate from Ohio State University

    Three Crestwood students were among the 7,807 graduates of Ohio State University this spring.

    Michelle Fegenbush graduated from OSU with a bachelor of arts degree. She has been accepted to veterinary school.

    Alan McKeel graduated with a bachelor of arts with honors.

    Jacob Pence graduated with a master of music degree.

    Applegate named to dean’s list at DePaul University

    Steven C. Applegate of Pewee Valley was recently named to the dean’s list at DePaul University.
