Students from Imagewest, the only full-service, student-run advertising and public relations agency in the nation recently spent four weeks in Malaysia working with their first international client and living at the International Islamic University Malaysia.

Crestwood resident Samantha Hughey, a student at Western Kentucky University, is a member of Imagewest International. She is one of seven Imagewest students and leaders who participated.

La Grange student Sean Atkins forwent a traditional summer and followed his passion for political systems and interest in freedom to Live, Learn and Intern in the nation’s capital.

Atkins was selected for a competitive spot at the Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems from an impressive pool of applicants from around the world. ICPES is an educational program offered by The Fund for American Studies in partnership with Georgetown University.

Boyd named to dean’s list at Cornell University

Lisa Marie Boyd, daughter of Lynn and Rosemarie Boyd of Crestwood, made the dean’s list for the spring semester at Cornell University.

Boyd is a 2005 graduate of North Oldham High School. She has just completed her junior year and is majoring in Sociology.

The University of Kentucky recently honored 73 students from Oldham County as dean’s list students. To be named to the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.6 grade-point average.
