Morehead State University hosts Space Trek

Morehead State University’s Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics and the Space Science Center joined forces with the American Association of University Women (AAUW), to host the sixth annual SpaceTrek camp July 8 through July 15.

Erryn Bergman, a senior at South Oldham High School, is the recipient of the 2017 Matthew Rawert Memorial Scholarship. She plans to study nursing at Western Kentucky University and eventually become a nurse anesthetist. Bergman lives in Pewee Valley with her sister, also in college, and her parents, Pamela and Daniel Bergman. 

On May 23, 119 seniors were awarded nearly $130,000 in local scholarships at the Oldham County Community Scholarships awards ceremony held at Oldham County High School. Over 80 local businesses, organizations and individuals contributed scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 to deserving seniors in Oldham County.
