    La Grange Police Arrests

    May 23 -- Eduardo R. Silva, 32, Louisville, was cited and released for no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure on non-owner to maintain required insurance first offense, no operator’s license.

     

    May 23 -- Glen T. Bradford, 58, Louisville, was cited and released for no operator’s license and failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance first offense.

     

  • La Grange Police receive grant

    The La Grange Police Department received a grant with Partnership For Success (PFS) funded by Seven Counties Services and the Department for Behavioral Health Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.

  • Bank robbed by man for second time in two months

     

    A man believed to have robbed Farmer’s Bank of Milton in La Grange in late April once again robbed the bank earlier this week.

    Police believe the unidentified man robbed the bank on Highway 53 at 11:20 a.m. Monday. The previous robbery occurred April 23.

    According to police, the suspect, a white male, gave a note to a bank clerk demanding money on Monday. He then exited the bank with an undetermined amount of money and a red dye pack.

  • Evridge takes lesser plea to avoid murder trial

     

    A man accused of murdering two Oldham County women has taken a plea deal to avoid trial.

    Ronald T. Evridge, 60, was charged with two counts of murder and tampering with evidence resulting from an altercation at his home in December 2011.

    Evridge had previously claimed he shot and killed two sisters — Heather Faulkerson, 21, and Sandy Allen, 24, both of Louisville — only after they attacked him with a knife at his north Oldham farm on 18-Mile Creek Road, according to records filed in Oldham Circuit Court.

  • Man accused of murder claims self-defense

    Two men accused of being involved in a murder near downtown La Grange have had their cases sent to the Oldham County Grand Jury for possible indictment.

    Henry Schultz-Eggenspiller, 22, and Roberto Cabrera Jr., 46, were arrested May 11 by La Grange Police on charges related to the death of Justin Rogers, 24, in what police have called a drug transaction that went south. All three men are from La Grange.

  • Case of Pewee Valley teacher accused of rape could head to trial

    The case of a Pewee Valley woman accused of rape and sexual abuse of a minor could be heading to trial if not resolved soon.

    Jessica Boyers, a former teacher at Highlands Middle School in Louisville, was indicted on 38 counts of either rape or sexual abuse of a minor in Oldham County back in June. Louisville police originally arrested her in April 2013 and she faces similar charges there.

    Boyers’ charges stem from an alleged relationship with a student.

    Lindsay A. Webster – Six counts of criminal possession of forged instrument, second degree.

  • KSP Troopers awarded

     

    Two Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg were honored last Wednesday at the KSP Awards Banquet held in Frankfort. Tpr. Mitchel Hazelett (left), a three and a half-year KSP veteran, was honored as the Post 5 Trooper of the Year. Tpr. Hazelett is originally from Fort Wayne, Ind. He is the son of Kirk and Donna Hazelett of Roanoke, Ind.
