    La Grange Police Arrests

    Joseph Kozdemba, 56, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, 1st offense, possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited, carrying a concealed weapon.

    Caressa K. Weathers, 27, was arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place, 1st and 2nd offenses.

  • Home invasion reported, investigation ongoing

    Officers from the La Grange Police Department responded to reports of a home invasion that came in on Mar. 26.

    Officers arrived to the 900 block of Woodland Ridge Road in La Grange, at approximately 11:16 a.m.

    On arrival, they found a babysitter with the 3-year-old child of the homeowners in her care. The woman told police that a white male suspect, posing as a delivery man, had entered the home when she answered the door.

    Mar. 13 -- Chelsy R. Hardy, 21, La Grange, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, endangering welfare of minor.

    Mar. 13 -- Nicholas M. Forrester, 26, La Grange was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering welfare of minor, possession of a controlled substance.

  • Lashley found guilty

    Two men, including a former county road superintendent and his father, went in front of a judge to plead guilty to several charges and were sentenced this week.

    Lance Eric Lashley, the former superintendent, was indicted in December on one count of abuse of public trust (less than $10,000) and theft by unlawful taking, more that $500 but less than $10,000. Both were felony charges.

    Mar. 6 -- Erick J. Hibbard, 33, La Grange, was arrested for possession of controlled substance, first degree.

    Mar. 7 -- Klay M. Hetrick, 25, La Grange, was arrested for assault, fourth degree (minor injury).

    Mar 7 -- David A. Mefford, 29, Campbellsburg, was arrested for no registration plates, operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license.

    Mar. 9 -- Jarrell L. Rice, 21, Louisville, was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of open alcoholic beverage contained in motor vehicle, prohibited.

  • Boyers takes plea on rape charges

    A Pewee Valley woman has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of rape and sexual abuse stemming from a relationship with an underage male.

    Jessica Boyers pleaded guilty to more than 35 charges of either second-degree rape or first-degree sexual abuse during a hearing last Thursday.

    According to police and court records, Louisville Metro Police found Boyers on April 11, 2013 with an underage male in her vehicle. The male told police the two had sexual contact.

    Feb. 18 -- Jerrmond L. Allen Jr., 24, La Grange, was arrested for assault fourth degree (domestic violence), minor injury.

    Feb. 17 -- Lindsay D. Beaumont, 25, La Grange, was cited for operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license and failure of owner to maintain required insurance, first offense.

    Feb. 18 -- Ruth E. Crawford, 52, La Grange, was cited for false/forged prescription, forgery of a prescription, first offense.

    Feb. 6 -- Nogues Chabeli Domineguez, 18, Louisville, was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • Local circuit court judges participate in annual training

    Circuit Court Judges Karen Conrad and Tim Feeley participated in the 2015 Circuit Judges Winter College that took place Jan. 25-28 in Louisville. The Administrative Office of the Courts provided the education program for the state’s circuit judges.
