  • Jefferies indicted for Carroll crash

    A Carroll County grand jury indicted a Goshen man Monday on charges stemming from a motor vehicle accident Feb. 26 that injured a Carroll County family.

    Donald S. Jefferies, 50, was indicted on three counts of first-degree assault, a class B felony with a penalty of 10-20 years imprisonment, a fine of $1,000-10,000 and the revocation of a driver’s license for six months on each count.

    March 31 -- Richard T. Roberts, 34, Stamping Ground, was cited and released for suspended license, no insurance and on headlight.

     

  • Golden Alert Issued

    The Oldham County Police Department issued a Golden Alert Monday morning for Aaron Waldrup.

    Waldrup is a 20-year-old white male, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 240 pounds. He has blonde hair and green eyes. Waldrup could be wearing blue jeans and white shoes with blue strips and a black back pack, according to the alert.

  • Goshen man sent to grand jury

     

    A Goshen man has been referred to a Carroll County Grand Jury after a district court found probable cause that he drove under the influence during an early March crash in Carroll County.

    Donald Jefferies, 50, was arrested by Kentucky State Police after admitting he took too many prescription pills before being involved in the accident on Hwy. 36.

  • Sheriff hosts another drug take back event

    In partnership with the DEA, Sheriff Steve Sparrow and the Oldham County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a Drug Take Back program on Saturday, April 26, as part of the National Drug Take Back Day Initiative.

    March 24 -- Helen M. Sheckell, 36, cited for city ordinance violation. Juvenile child out after La Grange City curfew.

     

    March 24 -- Robin B. Baker, 42, cited for city ordinance violation. Juvenile child out after La Grange City curfew, 2nd offense.

    March 25 -- Carrie L. Walling, 41, La Grange, was cited and released for TBUT/Shoplifting under/500.

  • Oldham man arrested, charged with sexual abuse

    An Oldham County man has been arrested and charged with one count of sexual abuse related to an alleged incident at his home.

    Kentucky State Police arrested Michael P. Berry, 36, of Drifton Drive in the Willow Creek subdivision, last Thursday after interviewing him at KSP Post 4 in Elizabethtown.

    According to the arrest report, Berry admitted to a KSP officer that he committed sexual abuse of a female minor during a two-week period at his Oldham County home in late February.

    March 14 - Thomas B. Prinzo, 30, Ormond, Fla. was arrested on a warrant for flagrant non-support

    March 17 - Jarrod D. Utterback, 26, Flemingsburg, was arrested for alcohol intoxication.

     

    March 17 -- Richard Cravens, 29, New Castle, was arrested on a warrant for Henry County for Burglary 1st degree.

     

  • Henry County woman dies in I-71 accident

     

    A five-vehicle accident left one woman dead and sent another three to the hospital, while shutting down traffic on southbound Interstate 71 for hours Tuesday.

    Sherry Bray, 48, of Pendleton, died after a box truck struck her vehicle and pushed it under a semi-truck, Oldham County Police said. She died at the scene due to her injuries.

    Oldham County Police were dispatched to the accident around 9:30 a.m. The accident occurred near the Oldham/Jefferson County line, over Haunz Lane.
