    David Charles Baker, 28, of Crestwood, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011.

    Survivors include his mother, Lynne Gocke Baker; father, Ronald Kent Baker (Cindy); brothers, Brian (Kristi) and Doug Baker; grandmothers, Frances Gocke and Jean Baker; nephews, Paxton, Kedrick, Evan and Ashton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

    A funeral service was Tuesday, March 15 at Ratterman’s Funeral Home.

    Burial took place at Floydsburg Cemetery.

    Glen “Randy” Charles, 59, of Crestwood, passed away March 17, 2011 at his home, where he lived with his mother.

    Randy is preceded in death by his father, Glen Charles, whom he has now joined in heaven where Randy can now talk and walk, as he couldn’t here on earth. Randy was loved by all who knew him and admired for his inner strength and perseverance. He will be greatly missed.

    A beloved wife and devoted mother, survivors include her husband of 33 years, Chester L. Hockersmith; three sons, Chester Lee (Christine) Hockersmith, Patrick (Carol) Hockersmith and Nicholas (Zhaleh) Hockersmith; three grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

    Cody Lang Klefot, 19, of Taylorsville, returned to his heavenly father on Sunday, March 13, 2011.

    He was an employee of Ken Towery Auto Center, a graduate of Spencer County High School in 2009 and of Jefferson Community College, and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Survivors include his parents, Matt and Pam Klefot; sister, Jessica; paternal grandmother, Catherine Klefot; maternal grandparents, Dale and Marilyn Lang; and aunt, Lisa (Tom) Steinbock.

    Iva Lois Curtis, 89, of La Grange, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011.

    She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her parents, George Benton Whitworth Sr. and Ivy Myrtle Saunders Whitworth; husband, James Allen Curtis Sr.; brothers, Mannie, G.B. and Eddie Whitworth; sister, Ruth Latimer.

    Robert William Morgan Sr., 89, of Smithfield, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, at his residence.

    He was the son of the late Edgar and Emily Ruth (Miller) Morgan. He was a U.S. Army/Air Corps veteran of World War II, where he served as a B-17 aerial/tail gunner and staff sergeant.

    He was a prisoner of war. He was a recipient of five Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart of Valor. He was also given the FAME Theater Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon and the WWII Victory Medal.

    Survivors include her husband, Kenny; son, Lee; daughter, Sarah; and

    brother, Dr. Robin Ballard.

    A celebration of life was  March 19 at Pewee Valley Baptist Church.

    Stoess Funeral Home handled arrangements.
